The Integra Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Integra LifeSciences Corporation (Nasdaq:IART), has awarded grants totaling $110,000 to the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) in support of the 2007 Congress of Neurological Surgeons Annual Meeting in San Diego, September 15-20, 2007.

"We are delighted to continue supporting the educational efforts of the CNS, which reflect our commitment to improving medical care," said Gianna Sabella, Executive Director of the Integra Foundation.

Integra Foundation, the CNS Neurosurgical Education Partner, provided the educational grants in support of the new CNS Integrated Medical Learning(SM) (IML) program, an education initiative designed to enhance the individual neurosurgeon's learning experiences and improve the overall process of medical education.

"Created by the CNS, IML represents our efforts to transform the meeting experience from a several-day event to an expanded process," said CNS President, Douglas Kondziolka, MD, MSc, FACS, FRCSC. "Through efforts such as IML, the CNS continues its commitment to developing both the conceptual framework and the educational processes necessary to enhance medical learning and advance the science of medical education."
