Integra LifeSciences Launches the LumbarTrak Lumbar Retraction System
PLAINSBORO, N.J., Sept. 27, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Integra LifeSciences Holdings Corporation (Nasdaq:IART) today announced the launch of the LumbarTrak™ Lumbar Retraction System, the latest addition to the R&B Redmond™ line. Integra is featuring the LumbarTrak system at the 21st Annual North American Spine Society Meeting in Seattle this week.
The LumbarTrak system is flexible enough to be used for many lumbar and thoracic spinal procedures from microdiscectomies to multilevel fusions. The entire system is made of titanium, which is lighter and more radiolucent than stainless steel. The titanium blades provide enhanced visualization while still maintaining maximum exposure to the surgical site. The blades are color-coded by length for easy identification by the surgical staff, and are available in lengths up to 130mm for larger patients and three widths for multiple procedure options. Quick and long connectors are available to attach multiple blades to the retractor system.
